“Stephanie Dumped Rev. Okotie Because He Can’t Impregnate Her!” …“It’s A Lie,” Church Member

“Stephanie and i are no longer married. We have separated. You can see she’s not in the church today.

It’s due to irreconcilable differences and you should please respect our wishes at this time because there is no going back.”

With the above statement, Rev. Chris Okotie on Sunday, 24th June 2012, at the church service, announced to the bewilderment of his church members that his four year old second marriage to beautiful Stephanie Henshaw has crashed. Rev Okotie’s marriage to his first wife of 16 years crashed in 1998.

The announcement took many by surprise because after Okotie, who is the General Overseer and founder of the Household of God Church, Oregun, Lagos married Stephanie, in August 7, 2008 through a traditional marriage at the bride’s Ikoyi, Lagos home followed by the court wedding at the Ikoyi Registry on August 8, 2008, the glamorous pastor explained in a press conference that the marriage was ordained by God.

Okotie had said that Stephanie was destined to marry him from birth. “She was not particularly certain whether it was what God wanted for her. So i had a situation where i had to get the Lord to persuade her that He is part of this agreement” Okotie was quoted to have said.

But with the announced break-up of the second marriage, many have queried if it was true Okotie actually heard from God that Stephanie was meant for him or he was just hallucinating.

Chris Okotie had always been in the news since he shot to limelight in the early 80’s as a funky pop star, while in the University. His song, ‘I NEED SOMEONE’ was a monster hit, and it ruled the airwaves and night clubs at that time.

Okotie, who stated his music career with Edo College School Band abandoned his musical career at the height of his stardom to complete his study of law at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka after which he bagged a Bachelors in Law in 1984. He claimed to have received a divine call in 1985 which made him to attend the Bible School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, U.S.A.

The former pop star returned to Nigeria in 1986 and started his ministry, House Hold Fellowship in 1987, and later became Household of God International Ministries with its first service held in his living room in Ikeja.

Reverend Okotie acquired and moved to the permanent location of his church in 1992 and has reportedly bought over all the landed property in the environment.
In 1998, Okotie got separated from his first wife, Tina who he had been dating when he was a student. He was married to Tina for 16 years, and Tina eventually relocated to America where she later remarried.

After his marriage to Tina crashed, stories began to fly here and there that the funky pastor was having affairs with several ladies in his congregation. This went on for a long time until Okotie eventually married Stephanie Henshaw four years ago.

Interestingly, Stephanie was a widow who had three children from two marriages. Rev. Okotie was her third husband.

However, not much was known about the state of affairs of the marriage as the couple was seen severally at public outings, holding hands and displaying public show of affection until Okotie made the declaration of the “irreconcilable differences” in church last Sunday.

Meanwhile, tongues have been wagging and public scrutiny had been beamed on the possible reason Rev. Okotie’s second marriage crumbled.

A very close source who claims to know Rev. Okotie well alleged that Okotie’s marital problems stems from his presumed inability to father a child.

“It’s very difficult to push to the public, but the reasons Okotie’s marriages are not working is because of childlessness. It’s a private thing, and he is battling the problem. Tina was with him for about 17 years without a child to show for the marriage. That was why Tina had to relocate to America, and remarried. I even heard she has a child now,” our source disclosed.

But we pointed out to our source that so far as Stephanie already had three children, she couldn’t have agreed that the marriage to Okotie breaks up. “A woman generally does not feel secure if she doesn’t have a child for her husband, and especially if the man is seen or suspected of keeping other women. That is the issue with Okotie and Stephanie. I don’t want to say more than this. Please.” The source stated.

But another source who is a member of the Household of God Church said the above insinuation is wrong. “It is a rubbish talk. The person that said so should not let the wrath of God be visited on him or her. Is the person God?

It’s only Rev. okotie and Stephanie that know the reasons they got separated, and we are praying for them. It is wrong to say Rev. Okotie can’t father a child.” The source said

Big Sean Gives Pop Star JUSTIN BEIBER . . . A $30K FRIENDSHIP RING!!!

Big Sean recently gave Justin Bieber a $30,000 friendship ring on the “Today” show. The gift was a thank you token from the Detroit rapper for being included in Bieber’s latest LP “Believe,” on the song “As Long as You Love Me.”

Justin’s manager, Scooter Braun, explained the event, saying “When they first met, Sean has this ring. It was his first ring he ever bought, the first piece of jewellery when he got his record deal…He gave it to Justin [at the ‘Today’ show]. He said, ‘I know you said you liked it, and I want to say thank you for involving me in the process and being a part of this. And I want you to have the ring.’ And he took it off, and Justin put it on and it was a real genuine moment. They’re friends.

Happy Birthday OJB Jezreel

Babatunde Jezreel Okungbowa aka OJB Jezreel

Music is undoubtedly the essence of his life and making beautiful music the purpose of his existence. Jigga, as he is affectionately refered to by his Gbaja Street homies has been the creative force behind the numerous hits of a countless number of artistes from Ruggedman, 2Face Idibia, Jazzman Olofin, Up coming Wizkid then,Nomoreloss to Raskie, K-Show & Six-O, C-mion, Abounce, Jafaar, Amah, Funke, the list is so endless.

OJB isn’t so sure of when he caught the production bug but believes it started sometime in 1986. The artiste who confesses to having a rather uneventful childhood started making beats in backroom studios, first in his Surulere neighbourhood and later in other parts of the city. Inspired by music made by legendary producers like Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Dallas Austin, LA Reid & Babyface, Teddy Riley and later R.Kelly, he and his friends, Micheal Richman and the three Dairo brothers, Henry, Banji and the now famous Paul Play, scions of Nigerian juju music icon,IK Dairo, formed a production crew called Playground, House n Effects(PHE) and started making and offering Hip Hop/R&B beats to popular Nigerian artistes at the time.

But that was the late 80s and such sounds were alien to mainstream Nigerian artistes who were more into reggae, afro-pop, afro-funk and disco. Even their attempts to give the beats away for nothing except credit on albums were spurned. Rather than give up on their dream of creative fulfilment, OJB restrategized, this time they learnt the polyrhythmic style of the time as pioneered by famous producers like Odion Iruoje, Lemmy Jackson, Laolu Akins, Emma Ogosi, Tony Okoroji and Harry Moscow which incorporated elements of reggae, pop funk, punk, disco as well as indigenous genres like juju, highlife and afrobeat. While their self re-education lasted, OJB kept his ears to the streets, across the atlantic that is, listening up to the works of emerging beatsmiths like Eric B, Dr. Dre, Erick Sermon, The Bomb Squad, Marley Marl and DJ Premier, knowing fully well that sometime soon the sound created in the south of Bronx will rule the world. OJB honed his singing and songwriting skill so much that he became as consummate a performer as he was a producer haven learnt how to play the drums, guitar and piano during the same period.

Their second attempt at industry recognition was a little more successful. Their beats made the cut on top artistes’ albums but they still didn’t get credit let alone cash. But they had put a foot in the door of recognition. Lack of income led to the dissolution of the crew in the mid 90s with some members opting out of music and others like Paul Play changing position from behind the boards to behind the mic. OJB wouldn’t dettach himself from the boards even when faced with enormous personal and social challenges like a pregnant wife and family disapproval of his chosen profession. He also had to cope with the ignominy of being a school drop out. But the cast iron resolve of this Agbor, Delta state native to make it as a producer wouldn’t be broken. OJB had another idea on how to break through the industry’s glass ceiling.

This time he focused on making beats for talented and determined groups made up of youngsters like X-Appeal, Harmony and Plantashun Boiz. This initiative, concretised and christened Silver Point Productions, coincided with the emergence of more privately owned radio stations in Lagos. The plan worked as joints from these young guns got appreciable airplay on the new stations. His name started making the rounds amongst music industry insiders, especially young upstarts in search of a distinct identity for Nigeria’s hip hop generation. The money trickled in, enough for him to acquire basic studio equipment and a system.

Jigga knew music made from a computer software was the way forward. In the middle of all this he had his first stab at recording with the release of his debut album, Deep Light, on Ayetoro Records in 1999. The album was a commercial failure mainly because the label didn’t know how to go about promoting a Hip-Pop R&B album. It however announced the arrival of one of the most well rounded artistes of our time. His profile as a producer continued to rise with further credit for work on Baba Dee’s hit single “Governor’s Daughter” and Daddy Showkey’s sophomore album. Silver Point grew rapidly with young production understudies like Jokaynie, Mr. Smith, Segzion and Niyex making the grades and becoming bonafide hit makers. OJB points out that his Surulere hit factory is the creative engine of their fledgling label, Point Beat Records, and they have already rounded up the usual suspects for their inaugural foray into the Nigerian music industry.

These days the self confessed studio rat lives under less socio economic pressures, charging a handsome five figure for a beat and a king’s ransom to produce an album especially when the client is a sexy but musically deficient screen godess looking to cash in on the loyalty of undiscerning fans. Make no mistake, Jigga hasn’t lost his touch with the yes y’all. Still very much in the mix, the beatsmith still laces straight up, funked out hip hop beats for thoroughbred mc’s (and the fizzy drink variant for air headed teeny bopper hip hoppers).

OJB took the business arm of his game to another level with the signing of a distribution deal with Kennis Music, the record distribution behemoth run by industry fat cats, Kenny “Keke” Ogungbe and Dayo “D1” Adeneye. His first assignment was to do an urban makeover of Ace, the classic album by juju music maestro, Sir Shina Peters. The charismatic entertainer had also signed a deal with the enterprising duo for the re-release of his 1989 classic. OJB has also just released his sophomore offering, a seventeen tracker titled Jah’s My Lite. With an intriguing variety of styles and sounds, the album is one of the best Hip-Pop R&B albums ever released in Nigeria. The album moved 20.000 units in it’s first week, an impressive figure for an artiste more renowned for his skills behind the boards than behind the mic. His label packaged a U.K tour for the international promotion of the album in June 2005.

Beyond making music OJB is the creative director of an ambitious new multimedia outfit called One Beat. The company run a TV programme of the same name to showcase the arts, music and culture of contemporary Africa to Africans at home and in the diaspora. It aired first on local TV networks in selected African countries before going on cable TV.

With an astonishing number of competences, OJB seems destined to emulate his number one role model, the legendary Quincy Jones.

He’s got major hits like

-Searching
-Pretete
-Shitta Anthem
-Gbemileke

Justin Theroux Proposed To Jennifer Aniston And She Said No!…..

Jennifer Aniston assumed that her romantic two week European vacation with boyfriend Justin Theroux would end in a proposal. After nights of quiet dinners and moonlight strolls, Justin finally popped the question but shockingly, Jenny reply with a No!
“She feels like she only got the proposal because she pushed for it,”

“She doesn’t want a guy marrying her because he feels some sort of pressure.”

As the two dined on June 13 at Paris’ famed Le Jules Verne restaurant, set high atop the Eiffel Tower, Jen eagerly waited for Justin to get down on bended knee. “When it didn’t happen Jen got upset, so they started bickering,” explained the insider.

Despite her disappointment, Jen tried to remain quiet in Paris, but ended up blowing up at Justin during the last night of their stay. “They fought about his commitment issues and she brought up a bunch of stuff,” revealed the insider. “He got defensive and stormed out, it was a big mess. They made up a few hours later, but it still ruined the mood of everything.”

Embarrassed by her outburst, Jen backed off of talking about marriage and focused on enjoying the next leg of their trip in Rome. While the two took a private tour of the Vatican, Justin realized that he’d made a mistake by not knowing that Jen was expecting a proposal. Hours later, “Justin totally shocked her and proposed,” said the insider.

Although touched by the gesture, Jen said no. “She told him she loves him and wants to marry him, but she couldn’t say yes,” explained the insider. “She wants everything to feel right, not rushed. She told him she feels like he’s not ready, but she is willing to wait for him.”

Wearing Panties To Bed So Unhealthy

It’s basically all about personal preference. If you’ve never had a problem wearing undies to bed, then i say keep doing what you’re doing. I’d stick to cotton undies, though, since this material is breathable. Wearing tight underwear or a pair made from polyester or some other material that doesn’t breathe can lock in moisture and lead to yeast infections.

On the other hand, if you love to sleep without underwear, then going panty free is okay, too. Just do what allows you to feel the most comfortable.

If someone constantly wears synthetic fibers that don’t let “it” breathe, there could be some sort of bacterial development.

Court Discharges, Acquits Nollywood Actress Bimbo Akinsanya

Popular Nollywood actress, Bimbo Akinsanya, was on Monday discharged and acquitted of conspiracy against a general overseer by an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

The presiding magistrate, Mr Olufemi Isaac, discharged the 34year old actress based on the no case submission advice brought in by the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

In accordance with the advice submitted by the DPP, the magistrate said that suspicion, no matter how serious, could not be a ground for submission.

Akinsanya had been docked before the court on Nov. 2, 2011 on a two count charge of conspiracy and felony.

Police prosecutor, ASP Barth Nwaokeye, alleged that the actress had on Oct. 28, 2011 pointed the general overseer of one Divine Power Revival Ministry, Rev Pat Dennah, to a yet to be identified boy, to shoot her.

Nwaokeye said the 33year old reverend had sustained an injury on her left shoulder from the shooting that occurred at 20, Samuel St., Akowonjo, Egbeda, in the Lagos metropolis.

The prosecutor had said that the alleged crime was contrary to Sections 338 and 516 of the Criminal Code, Cap C17, Vol 11, Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2003.

According to the DPP’s statement, facts had been revealed that there had been issues of misunderstanding between Dennah and Akinsanya, prior to the shooting.

The DPP stated that there had been a compliant made by the actress over the alleged nuisance created by the church.

The actress had written to the Landlords Association of the district that the church, which was in proximity to her own house at 22, Samuel St., Akowonjo, was not ready to curb the noise pollution.

The DPP stated this made the complainant to suspect Akinsanya of the conspiracy.

It also stated that no witness could identify the actress as being at the alleged scene before the incident.

Akinsanya had claimed to be in her house with her sisters when she heard the shooting and ran to the scene of the alleged incidence. (NAN)
