My Rainbow Diary :: In The Pursuit For Happiness.

I want to be happy, you want to be happy. Everyone wants happiness. Consequently, it is not uncommon to find people spending their life time on a quest for happiness. Led by the misconception that happiness is attained by having or getting, they relentlessly chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, material items and people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is,the only place they ever needed to search, was within.
Within? Yes,within! Within you!
‘How’? You may ask. This is because happiness is an attitude! It is a task you impose not on others or circumstances but on yourself. Happiness is not based on something you see, like a rainbow or feel, like the heat of a fire. That is why you don’t have to see things being good or feel good to be happy. If you want to be happy, you must decide that you are going to,no matter what. No matter how bad things get,or how rotten you feel,or how much people hurt you. You must come to the decision that you don’t need more money, you don’t need greater success or fame, you don’t need the perfect body or the perfect mate. All you need to experience happiness is to embrace the right attitude, and the right time for that,is now. This very moment, not tomorrow, not next week, not when things get better.
Come to terms with the fact that you cannot change the inevitable. You can’t always have things within the grasp of your control. The only thing you can do is to play on the one string that you have and that is your attitude. I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it. And so it is with you….we are in charge of our attitudes,we are in charge of our happiness. Embrace this truth and be happy.

Chill pills.
1. The only way to find happiness is to understand that happiness is not out there. It is in here. And happiness is not next week, it is now.
2. Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you find happiness in what you do, you will be successful.
